Dr. Carl Awh presents the first report of an implant that may transform the treatment of wet macular degeneration
Dr. Awh presented the results of the Phase 2 LADDER clinical trial at the 36th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Retina Specialists in Vancouver, BC, Canada on July 25, 2018. Tennessee Retina was a clinical trial site in LADDER, which evaluated a small implant that releases ranibizumab (Lucentis®) into the eye over many months, potentially eliminating the need for monthly eye injections.
